The United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Madagascar is taking a significant step towards fostering a more inclusive and equitable future. They are excited to announce the launch of a call for proposals aimed at empowering Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) and institutions dedicated to safeguarding Human Rights, as well as championing the battle against stigma and discrimination. This initiative is a powerful testament to UNDP’s commitment to building a world where fairness and equality prevail.

Capacity Building of CSOS Defending the Rights of People Living With HIV Main Goals

  • Capacity building of CSOs and institutions on the rights of people living with HIV and promotion of the fight against stigma and discrimination.
  • Promotion of a more equitable social and legal environment.
 

Capacity Building of CSOS Defending the Rights of People Living With HIV Intervention Areas

  • Analamanga region
  • Atsinanana region
 

Capacity Building of CSOS Defending the Rights of People Living With HIV Size and Duration

  • Proposal amounts do not exceed 12,000 USD.
  • The amount requested in the proposal must be proportionate to the administrative and financial management capacities of the organization. In principle, the duration of the project is set at 4 months.
 
Capacity Building of CSOS Defending the Rights of People Living With HIV Deliverables

The main deliverables are:

  • Deliverable 1:Detailed work plan.
  • Deliverable 2:Information report, awareness, training and workshop on the fight against stigma and discrimination of people living with HIV, using a strategy, tools and adapted supports.
  • Deliverable 3:Final intervention report with quantitative and qualitative results.
 
Capacity Building of CSOS Defending the Rights of People Living With HIV Final Beneficiaries
  • Eligible proposals will be those focused on the principle of “leaving no one behind” and targeting both vulnerable people including people living with HIV, key populations as direct and final beneficiaries, through a partnership with CSOs, institutions, allowing solid community leadership allowing them equitable access to healthcare and professional settings.
 
Capacity Building of CSOS Defending the Rights of People Living With HIV Eligibility Criteria

The parameters that will determine whether an NGO/CSO is eligible to be considered by UNDP will be based on the NGO/CSO.

 
Capacity Building of CSOS Defending the Rights of People Living With HIV Criteria

Proposals will be evaluated based on the following criteria:

  • Solid technical proposal that includes innovative and replicable inclusion mechanisms to maximize value transfer to beneficiaries.
  • High-impact interventions targeting and directly responding to the needs.
  • Size of the requested budget proportional to the proven administrative and financial management capacity of the organization.
  • Participatory monitoring and evaluation which will help create a sense of ownership among beneficiaries to promote the sustainability of interventions.
