PRIME RESPONSIBILITIES (Program Lead NGO Job in Delhi Last Date 9 April 2025)

  • To ensure that the best interests of the children are at the heart of all operational decisions and procedures.
  • To ensure the safety and well-being of the children
  • To ensure that each child receives the best education available

LEADERSHIP

  • To provide leadership to staff
  • To provide the plans and the processes to ensure that the Mission Statement is met
  • To lead by example and be a role model for staff and children
  • To create a child friendly environment
  • To be available and approachable to the children at all times
  • To foster effective team work between TARA Associates

OPERATIONS

  • Develop an operational plan with the HFP which incorporates goals and objectives that work towards the strategic direction of TOCs.
  • Implement the Operational Plan of TOCs after the approval of HFP
  • Oversee the efficient and effective day-to-day operation of the organisation
  • Review existing policies & procedures on an annual basis
  • Conduct one to one meetings with direct reports
  1. Monthly tracker meeting with Outreach Social Workers;
  2. Monthly tracker meeting with Community Mobilizer;
  3. Monthly tracker meeting with the Health Care Coordinator;
  4. Monthly meeting with the counselor;
  5. Monthly tracker meeting with the Education Coordinator/Officer;
  6. Ensure conducting monthly tutors’ meetings & maintaining the minutes;
  7. Ensure conducting monthly children’s meetings & maintaining the minutes;
  8. Ensure checking the monthly dashboard and reporting for any discrepancies;
  9. Ensure checking and updates on Airtable(attendance, home visits, events, etc).
  • Ensure the maintenance of proper documentation of all case files and data related to the impact assessment.
  • To ensure that CPP and Handbook are implemented fully at all times.

MONITORING & EVALUATION  

  • Develop program indicators, and targets to measure program effectiveness
  • Collaborate with the teams to integrate M & E into project planning and implementation
  • Continuously track and monitor Program activities to ensure alignment with goals and objectives
  • Monitor the quality of data and provide recommendations for improvements
  • Assess the effectiveness of interventions and recommended improvements
  • Ensure that all the M & E findings are documented and shared effectively

HUMAN RESOURCES

  • Determine staffing requirements for TOCs
  • Implement human resources policies, procedures and practices
  • Ensure that a positive, healthy and safe work environment is in accordance with all appropriate legislation and regulations
  • Recruit, interview and select staff that have the right technical and personal abilities
  • Ensure that all staff receive an orientation to TARA and that appropriate training is provided
  • Coach and mentor staff as appropriate to improve performance
  • Discipline staff when necessary using appropriate techniques and release staff when necessary using appropriate and legal procedures
  • Recruit as per JDs and budget to ensure TOCs are fully staffed
  • Complete Performance Reviews as per schedule
  • Ensure employee information is raised, distributed and signed as per schedule.

TRAINING

  • To produce an annual training plan for TOCs each January to present to the ED for approval
  • To implement the training plan with the assistance of the training facilitator
  • Book training courses one month prior to the schedule
  • To review training effectiveness regularly

FINANCIAL

  • To present budget proposals to HFP that support the Operational Plan
  • Participate in fundraising activities as appropriate
  • Ensure that accounting procedures are followed
  • Administer the funds of TOCs according to the approved budget
  • To inform the AM of any exceptions to the monthly payroll including new starts

OUTSIDE AGENCIES

  • Represent TARA to other NGOs and agencies at the request of the HFP
  • Respond to court summons upon request
  • Foster positive neighbourhood relations
  • Provide support and supervision when the team visits the community and represents TARA to other organizations.
  • Actively initiate and collaborate with various stakeholders

RISK MANAGEMENT

  • Identify and evaluate the risks to TOCs’ associates, property, finances, goodwill, and image
  • Implement measures to control risks with the approval of HFP
  • Report any shortcomings or concerns to the HFP

PROFILE REQUIRED (Program Lead NGO Job in Delhi Last Date 9 April 2025)

Education:

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Education, Nonprofit Management, or related fields.
  • Additional training or certification in leadership or organizational management is advantageous.

Required experience: (Program Lead NGO Job in Delhi Last Date 9 April 2025)

  • 5-10 years experience of working in the urban community set-up/slum areas.
  • 5-10 years of experience of managing Outreach Centre/Day Care Centre
  • 5-10 years of experience of directly working with the children and families
  • Experience of managing a large team
Skills: (Program Lead NGO Job in Delhi Last Date 9 April 2025)
  • Leadership and team management to supervise multiple roles (e.g., coordinators, teachers, mobilizers).
  • Strategic planning to align operational goals with organizational values.
  • Knowledge of child protection policies and risk management.
  • Strong documentation and reporting skills (e.g., impact assessments, budget proposals).
  • Communication and negotiation skills to interact with staff, beneficiaries, and external agencies.
  • Financial management to monitor budgets and ensure adherence to accounting procedures.

CTC: Rs. 60,000 -70,000/- PM
