Assistant Manager – Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL)

The Role:-
Assistant Manager- MEL will be responsible for ensuring an effective system of data management, data validation, data sanitation, data retrieval, and reporting system. The incumbent is expected to develop Theory of change, Logframe, KPIs, and develop impact assessment reports for different programmes in India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Turkey, and Egypt.

Assistant Manager- MEL will have the following responsibilities:
Data Cleaning
- Cleaning, organizing, and managing large datasets, including merging and cleaning data from various sources.
- Clean, and manage large volumes of datasets from multiple countries. This includes weekly/fortnightly/monthly data review and identification of data inconsistency.
- Ensure data integrity and verify the accuracy of the data entered by performing periodic data quality checks.
Data Analysis and Report Writing (Assistant Manager MeL NGO Job in Gurugram Apply by 3 April)
- Responsible for analyzing and interpreting data using basic statistical tools and techniques, including descriptive and inferential analysis.
- Assist in the preparation of analytical and statistical reports and visualizations like charts, and tables to communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Apply statistical techniques to identify trends, patterns, and correlations in data, and provide actionable recommendations.
- Analyse data and use data visualization tools to present data in an accessible format and to enhance data use.
Quality Assurance (Assistant Manager MeL NGO Job in Gurugram Apply by 3 April)
- Develop internal M&E, data validation protocol to be implemented across all the projects
- Develop protocol for data validation related to FFB data, adoption data and other data as required
- Undertake quality checks on the data to ensure consistency and completeness and follow up on any discrepancies.
- Coordinate and collaborate with different stakeholders and partners.
- Train project staff in data collection and reporting.
- Support in data-informed policy and guideline development
- Support any other data-related activities as required by the project
- Liaison with all country offices for data operations and delivery.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and maintain data security protocols to protect sensitive health information
- Troubleshoot issues related to data collection, entry, and analysis
- Review and analyse the MEL output dashboard for quality assurance
- Coordinate the technology team and service providers for streamlining the M&E App
- Undertake field visits to train field staff and data quality assurance
Report Preparation (Assistant Manager MeL NGO Job in Gurugram Apply by 3 April)
- Conduct desk reviews of the reports/data shared by project staff and share impact reports/data analysis reports with CottonConnect as per requirement
- Develop training modules on Data Collection, Data Validation, and M&E protocol in consultation with CottonConnect.
- Prepare reports, dashboards, and visual presentations of data findings for internal and external audiences
- Design and develop survey questionnaires and data collection tools, including sampling methods and techniques.
- Create visually appealing and informative reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities for data mining and advanced analytics to uncover hidden insights and opportunities.
- Generate regular and ad-hoc impact reports to support organizational needs and requirements.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in data analysis and related technologies.
- Collect and compile data from various secondary sources, including surveys, government databases like (Census, NSSO, NFHS etc.) and other relevant sources.
- Excellent and demonstrable experience in data management and analysis software, such as SPSS, STATA, R etc.
Proven experience in handling large data sets, descriptive analysis, and impact report preparation is a must.
Experience / Qualifications (Assistant Manager MeL NGO Job in Gurugram Apply by 3 April)
Experience: 6-9 years
- Experience in Rural Development / Agriculture / Cotton M&E sector.
- The incumbent should be willing to work on data, information, and MEL.
- Preference will be given to a person who holds experience in M&E in the development sector/NGOs
Computer Knowledge
- Must have good computer skills related to data analysis / Excel/ PPT / Word/ SPSS/ Data analysis tools and internet navigation
Qualifications
- M.Sc- Agri. / MBA / Master Degree in Statistics/Economics/Graduate with M&E Certificate Course.
- Preference will be given to candidates with higher educational qualifications
