Reunification Specialist Jobs in Keystone Human Services International-LO Position Summary
We are seeking a Reunification Specialist for our Family Reunification Project in Dehradun, who wants to assist people with disability living in institutions to be integrated with their families so that they can live rich, full community lives. The Reunification Specialist will report to the Project Director – Family Reunification.
The person in this position will be responsible to investigate and locate close and extended families, access the perspectives of the focus person and the family towards reunification, assisting in conducting a home study, providing training support, collecting data, gathering information and compiling data, assisting in identifying livelihood alternatives to reunited people, liaising with institution staff and community members, develop and maintain relations, working on the ground level as frontline staff for the project, collecting information from the Govt offices and community, travelling to remote areas for reuniting the people with community, consistent with Social Role Valorization and Keystone’s Mission and Vision.
The Social Worker will also assist his/her supervisor to communicate, coordinate and collaborate with people with disabilities and their families, disability advocates, government representatives, and members of allied organizations. This full-time position (40 hours/week) is based out of Dehradun.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• To assist in mapping exercises and home study for exploring the probabilities of reunification in the institutions
• Investigate, locate and reach out to close and extended families
• Access the perspectives of the focus person and the family towards reunification
• Collecting data, gathering information and compiling data in the institutions
• Liaising with institutions staff and community members
• Assisting in identifying livelihood alternatives to reunited people
• Develop and maintain relations with all concerned stakeholders
• Collecting information from the Govt offices, community and stakeholders
• Travelling to remote areas for reuniting the people with family/community
• Working on the ground level as frontline staff for the project
• Prepare periodical reports, maintain data and records and share the information
• Assist in skill development and other training

Other Duties and Responsibilities:
• Obtain and maintain the knowledge base on Social Role Valorization as a framework for designing and providing good service.
• Maintain a professional demeanor, acting as a role model and advocate in the promulgation of organizational values.
• Maintain required documents, records, and files.
• Develop positive and productive relationships with agency employees, stakeholders, funders, consultants, allied external professionals, advocates, and families.
• Manage program expenditures within budgetary limits.
Reunification Specialist Jobs in Keystone Human Services International-LO
• Minimum graduate degree in social work, human services, psychology, adult education, or related field, with 4 to 5 years relevant work experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in service to people with disability, including significant experience in project implementation.
• Some exposure to, and experience within the intellectual, developmental, and mental health fields within India.
• Knowledge of and strong familiarity with progressive ideas about disability, consistent with an orientation towards inclusion, social justice, human rights, and change-agentry.
• Excellent presentation, interpersonal and oral communication skills.
• Strong organizational and operation skills.

• This position is performed within an office setting as well as at various locations throughout the community in Uttarakhand.
• The position requires frequent use of the telephone, computer, and audio-visual equipment, as well as frequent travel to project sites in Uttarakhand and possibly in other states as well.

• Willing to travel extensively within Uttarakhand, and occasionally outside of Uttarakhand.
• Able to work with fluctuating work hours – evenings, early mornings, and weekends – as needed, to stay connected with program leadership in India and United States, and as dictated by program activities and priorities.
• Well versed with use of social media
