SBIF’s core areas of focus include Rural Development, Healthcare, Women Empowerment, Child Development, Disability & Inclusion, Education, Livelihoods & Entrepreneurship, and Environment, with this initiative aligning closely with its mission to promote inclusive and sustainable community development.

This Request for Proposal (RFP) seeks applications from experienced organizations with a demonstrated track record in managing or supporting geriatric care homes to implement projects within the specified thematic areas for the financial years 2025–26 and 2026–27. Through this call, SBIF aims to partner with competent non-profits capable of executing impactful and sustainable initiatives that adhere to national and international benchmarks in elderly care. The program reflects the Foundation’s continued commitment to enhancing the holistic well-being of senior citizens by upgrading the infrastructure, safety, and quality of services in old-age homes.

Eligibility Criteria

SBI Foundation hereby invites proposals from NGOs/NPOs for implementing projects under SBIF

Garima – Retrofitting & Fortification of Old-Age Homes. The budget for a proposal should be as per mentioned in the Framework (Page 11 onwards) for a support period of 1 to 2 years. Multiple submissions will be disqualified.

For project proposals below ₹1.00 Cr., the cumulative revenue of the organization for the last 3 financial

years (2021-22, 2022-23, 2023- 24, {2024-25, subject to availability}), should be a minimum of ₹2.00 Cr.

And

For project proposals above ₹1.00 Cr, the cumulative revenue of the organization for the last 3 financial years (2021-22, 2022-23, 2023- 24, {2024-25, subject to availability}), should be a minimum of ₹5.00 Cr.

Selection Process

The SBI Foundation will evaluate all proposals based on its predefined shortlisting criteria. Applicants must submit comprehensive documentation, including past project completion reports, third-party evaluations, organizational experience details, audited financial statements, and a duly signed copy of the RFP (each page signed).

In addition, applicants must furnish declarations affirming that they are not blacklisted, do not engage in discriminatory or fraudulent practices, and are free from any corrupt activities. The sub-letting, subcontracting, or outsourcing of project responsibilities is strictly prohibited.

Proposals should be submitted in English, and eligible entities must be registered non-profit organizations—such as a Trust, Society, or Section 8 company—incorporated under an Act of Parliament or State Legislature in India. Moreover, applicants should possess at least three years of experience in operating and managing residential care facilities or institutional support centres for senior citizens.
