Beyond Plastic Med Call For Projects: Micro-Initiatives Grants 2025 for Mediterranean Islands, Through its Call for Micro-Initiatives (CMI) and Call for Projects in the Mediterranean Islands (CPMI), BeMed offers financial support to organizations and stakeholders actively working to combat plastic pollution. Funding is provided for a duration of one to two years, enabling the implementation of diverse project types — including initiatives focused on reducing plastic use, collecting data, raising awareness, improving waste management and recycling systems, advocating for policy change, and exploring sustainable alternatives to plastic. Each supported project is rooted in a specific local context, leveraging the project leader’s deep understanding of local challenges and opportunities.

NGOs, local authorities, municipalities, companies of less than 20 employees, scientific institutions.
ELIGIBLE COUNTRIES
Albania, Algeria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Cyprus, Croatia, Egypt, Spain, France, Greece, Italy, Lebanon, Malta, Morocco, Monaco, Montenegro, Slovenia, Tunisia, Turkey.
Prioritary countries : Albania, Algeria, Egypt, Lebanon, Morocco, Montenegro, Tunisia, and Turkey.
ELIGIBLE THEMES
Raising awareness and disseminating information, Advocacy, Researching and collecting data, Bringing together and mobilising stakeholders, Reusing and finding alternatives to plastic, Improving plastic waste collection and management systems.
Funding Information

Up to a maximum of €15,000 representing a maximum of 70% of the total project amount.
