The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Manila Call for Proposals Transition Promotion Program Projects 2026: Funding Information, Eligibility Criteria and Selection Process Explained

The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Manila Call for Proposals Transition Promotion Program Projects 2026, The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Manila has announced a call for proposals under the Transition Promotion Program (TRANS) for projects to be implemented in the Philippines, Federated States of Micronesia, Marshall Islands, Palau, and Nauru in 2026.

Eligible and interested organizations are invited to submit their project proposals no later than 8th December 2025.

Each submission must include a completed identification form (attached) along with:

  • Proof of the organization’s legal status (e.g., registration certificate, preferably as a Public Benefit Organization), and
  • Authorization documents verifying that the individual submitting the proposal is legally empowered to represent the organization.

Applicants are encouraged to carefully review the full details and submit their applications before the specified deadline to seize this grant opportunity.

– maximum length of your project is 8 months (from 1.3.2026 to 31.10.2026)

– maximum budget is 500.000 CZK

– your project should be in line with these thematic priorities:

In accordance with the Concept of the Czech Republic’s human rights and transition promotion policy, the TRANS Programme focuses on the following thematic priorities:

(1) supporting civil society, including human rights defenders;

(2) promoting the freedom of expression and information, including the freedom of the media;

(3) promoting an equal and full political and public participation;

(4) supporting institution-building in the area of the rule of law;

(5) promoting equality and non-discrimination;

(6) promoting human rights in employment and in the environmental context.

These priorities are described in more detail in the Human Rights and Transition Promotion Policy Concept of the Czech Republic.

A well written project proposal can increase your chances in the highly competitive selection process. Therefore I would like to ask you to respect the basic requirements (theme, length, budget).

– The project proposals should correspond with the development priorities of the country.

– Funds are allocated to non-political and non-governmental entities only.

– Czech financial contribution for each project is between 100.000 CZK – 500.000 CZK. Based on the recent exchange rate development and with the view of having a margin in order not to exceed the maximum budget in CZK, we advise you to use the following exchange rates to calculate the costs in CZK: 1 PHP = 0.399 CZK.

– The expenses will be reimbursed by the embassy after submission of originals of invoices/receipts (no advance payments will be granted).

– The project has to be implemented after the signature of the contract for implementation.

– Please pay attention to the evaluation criteria listed at the end of the identification form and to complete and correct filling-in of the form.

The three documents (duly filled-in identification form, proof of legal subjectivity and evidence that the person submitting the proposal is authorized to act on behalf of the organization) must be delivered to the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Manila scanned in one pdf document to manila.projects@mzv.gov.cz by 8th December 2025.
