Applications Open for Grant Opportunity 2026 for Water and Energy for Food 2.0 MENA programme Track 1 Innovations, The Water & Energy for Food (WE4F) 2.0 MENA Regional Innovation Call is currently open, inviting forward-thinking enterprises to participate.

This initiative is looking for resilient and growth-driven businesses operating across agricultural value chains. Eligible applicants include water utilities, agri-tech firms developing climate-smart solutions, B2B service providers, food processing companies, and logistics enterprises that are committed to improving efficiency, enhancing sustainability, and scaling their impact.

Selected participants will become part of the WE4F 2.0 MENA innovator cohort, where they will receive tailored technical support from leading experts in the water, energy, and food sectors. Based on their progress and specific needs, enterprises may also receive grant funding, typically averaging around USD 100,000.

Beyond funding, the program offers valuable opportunities to connect with investors and access additional financing, enabling businesses to grow sustainably and expand their impact across the MENA region.

Eligibility Requirements – Track 1 for Applications Open for Grant Opportunity 2026 for Water and Energy for Food 2.0 MENA programme Track 1 Innovations

 

WE4F 2.0 Track 1 is open to legally incorporated or registered for-profit and not-for-profit organizations, as well as academic institutions, that generate revenue and maintain a self-sustaining operational budget. Applicants must demonstrate a proven revenue track record selling a product or service relevant to the water–energy–food nexus and climate resilience. Track 1 is focused on financially viable businesses or organizations that can showcase a proven and sustainable revenue model.

Track 1 is open to organizations with a company age between 3 and 25 years. Applications from small and medium enterprises are strongly encouraged. Applicants must have minimum annual revenues of $300,000 USD with strong financial sustainability. Applicants must also have minimum EBTIDA margin of 5% over the last three years (supporting documentation required). Applicants must demonstrate their ability to grow revenues by 15% – 25% YoY and/or enhance profitability by 5% – 10%. Applicants must have an established management team with financial and operational expertise with at least 10 full time employees.

Eligible applicants must be legally registered and operating in one of the following countries: Lebanon, Jordan, Egypt, Iraq, Tunisia, or Morocco.

Application responses must be submitted in English, French, or Arabic.

Selected applicants must demonstrate the ability to match the grant amount at a 100 percent ratio.
