CARE Foundation is seeking a motivated and experienced State Project Coordinator to support the planning, implementation, monitoring, and coordination of development initiatives across project locations. The position requires close collaboration with government departments, field teams, schools, health institutions, and community stakeholders to ensure effective programme delivery and achievement of project objectives.
About the Role
The State Project Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day programme implementation, strengthening stakeholder engagement, monitoring project progress, and supporting reporting and documentation processes. Based at Gandhinagar with traveling to Bhavnagar, and Anand

- Coordinate and monitor project activities across assigned districts and project locations.
- Provide technical and operational support to field teams to ensure quality implementation of programme activities.
- Liaise with government departments, educational institutions, health facilities, and other stakeholders to strengthen project partnerships.
- Track project progress against targets and support timely reporting.
- Conduct regular field visits for monitoring, supervision, and mentoring of project staff.
- Facilitate trainings, meetings, workshops, and review sessions with project stakeholders.

Educational Qualification: Postgraduate degree in:
Social Work, Public Health, Social Sciences, Rural Development, Sociology
Or any other relevant discipline
Experience
Minimum 3–5 years of relevant professional experience in development programmes.
Experience in school-based programmes, public health initiatives, or community development projects will be preferred.
Experience working with NGOs, government programmes, or development agencies is desirable.
Required Skills and Competencies
Excellent communication, coordination, and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
Experience in project planning, monitoring, and reporting.
Knowledge of budget tracking and financial management processes.
Experience engaging with government departments and local authorities.
Understanding of public health and community development programmes will be an advantage.
Good command of English and Hindi, both written and spoken.
Travel Requirement
The selected candidate will be required to travel regularly within project districts and to the State Office for programme monitoring, supervision, coordination meetings, and stakeholder engagement activities.
