NGO Job in Maharashtra and Bihar for Psychosocial Counsellor Apply by 31 July 2026 Overview

SCARF India, in partnership with REACH, is hiring a Psychosocial Counsellor for TB & Mental Health program: a stepped-care program addressing common mental disorders among TB patients.

The role involves delivering supportive counselling, CBT-based interventions, and psychoeducation to TB patients with moderate-to-severe depression, coordinating with a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists and TB Champions, mentoring TB Champions, and field travel to TB units within the district.

Requirements: Bachelor’s/Master’s in Psychology or Social Work, minimum 2 years post-qualification clinical experience, strong empathetic communication skills, and fluency in Hindi, Bhojpuri, and local dialects. Prior experience in public health, hospital psychiatry, or integrated care (HIV/Oncology) is a plus.

Location: Nagpur, Amravati (Maharashtra) and Patna (Bihar)

Engagement: Full-time, 8 hrs/day, 6 days/week; 36-month tenure (July 2026–June 2029).

Remuneration discussed at interview.
