Open Application for Social Impact Fellowship 2026, The Social Impact Fellowship is designed to prepare emerging leaders to address some of today’s most complex social challenges. The program focuses on developing individuals who can think strategically, use data effectively, build equitable solutions, and work across traditional sector boundaries.
Through the fellowship, participants gain practical skills in strategy, leadership, management, community engagement, research and data analysis, and program design and implementation. Fellows contribute to different programming areas of the Equity | Impact Center, including creative entrepreneurship, nonprofit leadership, and community development. The experience brings together perspectives from the business, nonprofit, government and social sectors, helping fellows strengthen their systems-thinking abilities.
The fellowship aims to bridge the gap between academic learning and meaningful community impact. Through an intensive and hands-on experience, Social Impact Fellows develop both technical expertise and adaptive leadership skills needed to navigate complex challenges and create positive change in their future careers.
The program is intended for ambitious, dedicated and focused individuals who are committed to continuous learning and interested in contributing to a community-centered organization. Selected fellows will have the opportunity to co-design their fellowship experience, with responsibilities and projects tailored to their individual goals and career aspirations.
The fellowship offers flexibility in weekly working hours, although fellows are required to spend some time in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. International applicants may apply, but visa sponsorship is not available; however, limited travel support may be provided.
Throughout the program, fellows will work closely with Leigh Solomon Pugliano, Founder, President and CEO of the Equity | Impact Center, along with other team members. Participants will gain practical experience by taking part in organizational activities while also benefiting from workshops and specially designed learning experiences.
