Eligibility Criteria for Under Graduate Applicants
(Call for Application for IndiaAI Fellowship 2025 by Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY)
- Need to be in the final year of their Undergraduate Course.
- Undertake projects based on AI and/or any other domains related to AI.
- Students pursuing any discipline, including Technical (Engineering and Sciences), Medicine, Law, Commerce, Business, Liberal Arts,are eligible to apply.
- In case of a 3 year UG program, Students can apply after 4th Semester or after the 2nd year results are out.
- In case of a 4 year UG program, Students can apply after 6th Semester or after the 3rd year results are out
- Must have completed atleast 3 full time courses in AI.
- Must have a CGPA of atleast 8.0 or a percentage of 80% in the last completed semester.
- Part time students are not eligible to apply.
- Only Indian Nationals may apply.
Benifits
Funding support of UPTO 1.0 lac to be provided
Additional Benefit:
- Any student whose paper is selected for any international conference in the field of AI with a h5 rating of more than 100 will be eligible for a one-time funding support upto INR 1.0 lac towards their travel and/or accommodation cost.
- Documents required from UnderGraduate Applicants
- Signed and stamped Endorsement letter from the Project Guide on official letterhead as per the format.
- Signed and stamped Endorsement letter from the institute Head/HoD/Registrar on official letterhead as per the format.
- Cancelled Bank Account Cheque or cover page of passbook(Bank account should be in the name of the Student).
- Original Marksheets till the last semester of UnderGraduate program.
- A Passport size photograph ( .jpg , .jpeg or .png format)
Eligibility Criteria for Post Graduate Applicants
(Call for Application for IndiaAI Fellowship 2025 by Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY)
- Need to have a confirmed admission to a PostGraduate Course.
- Can apply during the 1st, 2nd or 3rd Semester only.
- Students pursuing any discipline, including Technical (Engineering and Sciences), Medicine, Law, Commerce, Business, Liberal Arts,are eligible to apply.
- Undertake projects based on AI and/or any other domains related to AI.
- Applicants must have at least 80% or an equivalent grade in their undergraduate degree. Applicants applying during their 2nd or 3rd semester must also have a minimum of 75% in their postgraduate studies up to the last completed semester.
- Part time students are not eligible to apply.
- Only Indian Nationals may apply.
Benefits
Funding support of UPTO 2.0 lac to be provided for the entire duration of the program
Additional Benefit:
Any student whose paper is selected for any international conference in the field of AI with a h5 rating of more than 100 will be eligible for a one-time funding support upto INR 1.0 lac towards their travel and/or accommodation cost.
Documents required from PostGraduate Applicants
- Signed and stamped Endorsement letter from the Project Guide on official letterhead as per the format.
- Signed and stamped Endorsement letter from the Institute Head/HoD/Registrar on official letterhead as per the format.
- Cancelled Bank Account cheque or cover page of passbook (Bank account should be in the name of Student).
- Original GATE Scorecard (Optional).
- CGPA of atleast 8.0 or a percentage of 80% or above is required.
- A Passport size photograph ( .jpg , .jpeg or .png format)
Eligibility Criteria for PhD Applicants
(Call for Application for IndiaAI Fellowship 2025 by Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY)
- Need to have a confirmed admission to a PhD Course.
- Research Domain must be based on AI and/or any other related field.
- Can apply only during the enrolment into the PhD program.
- Must have a CGPA of atleast 8.0 or 80% during UnderGraduate or a CGPA of atleast 7.5 or 75% during PostGraduate.
- Only newly enrolled PhD students (first year) are eligible to apply.
- Part time students are not eligible to apply.
- Only Indian Nationals may apply.
Benefits for PhD Candidates
Fellowship amounts will be INR 70,000 per month for the first 2 years, INR 75,000 per month for the 3rd year and INR 80,000 for the 4th year & 5th year. These will be lumpsum monthly fellowship amounts and will include allowances like HRA, etc.
In addition, research scholar will be eligible for a research grant of INR 2 lacs per year.

- Original Marksheets of all the semesters of UnderGraduate and PostGraduate program consolidated.
- A Passport size photograph ( .jpg ; .jpeg or .png format)
Eligibility Criteria for Integrated Dual Degree Applicants
(Call for Application for IndiaAI Fellowship 2025 by Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY)
- Need to be in the final year of their Undergraduate Course.
- Must have a CGPA of atleast 8.0 or an overall percentage of 80% TILL the last completed semester
- Must Undertake projects based on AI and/or any other domains related to AI.
- Students pursuing any discipline, including Technical (Engineering and Sciences), Medicine, Law, Commerce, Business, Liberal Arts,are eligible to apply.
- Students can apply after 8th Semester or after 4th year results are out.
- Must have completed atleast 3 full time courses in AI.
- Part time students are not eligible to apply.
- Only Indian Nationals may apply.
