Call for applications Asia Health Policy Program Postdoctoral Fellowship 2025 Stanford University, The Asia Health Policy Program (AHPP) at the Shorenstein Asia-Pacific Research Center (APARC) advances comparative research and understanding of health and health policy in the Asia-Pacific. Since its establishment, the program has been dedicated to cultivating the next generation of health policy scholars. Each year, AHPP offers a postdoctoral fellowship to an early-career researcher.
The selected fellow will conduct original research on pressing health or healthcare policy issues relevant to low- and middle-income countries in the Asia-Pacific region, while actively participating in program activities. Applications are welcome from candidates with backgrounds in disciplines such as public policy, public health, economics, demography, sociology, political science, anthropology, law, medicine, health services research, and related fields.
Appointments begin in the fall quarter. Eligible applicants must have received their PhD within the past three years (or M.D. within six years) and have completed degree requirements by June 30, 2026, for the 2026–27 fellowship cycle.
The fellowship requires full-time residence, participation in seminars, and contribution to the Center’s publication program. This is a minimum 10-month appointment, offering a salary aligned with Stanford policy—at least $80,000 (prorated for 10 months)—along with $3,000 in research support.
