Call for Applications WD2026 Media Scholarships by Women Deliver, The Women Deliver 2026 Conference (WD2026) is scheduled for 27–30 April 2026 in Narrm (Melbourne), Australia. This global gathering will highlight the leadership and lived experiences of feminists, First Nations leaders, and advocates from the Pacific region and beyond.
As part of its commitment to inclusive representation, Women Deliver is providing Media Scholarships to support journalists and content creators worldwide, particularly those who might not have the means to attend and cover the event otherwise.
Interested candidates are encouraged to carefully review the fellowship opportunity and submit their applications before the specified deadline.

Eligibility Criteria

Media Scholarships are open to working media globally, including:
- Reporters, editors, producers, presenters/anchors
- Photojournalists, videographers, and broadcast teams
- Podcast/radio journalists and newsroom social/visual teams
- Freelancers with a commissioning/assignment letter
- Content creators who produce independent, factual coverage on social issues
Priority will be given to:
- Media and content creators with a demonstrated focus on gender equality, health, human rights, climate justice, development, or Oceanic Pacific issues
- First Nations and Indigenous journalists and creators
- LGBTQIA+ people, persons with disabilities, internally displaced persons and refugees, and those from under-resourced communities
- Early-career journalists/creators and applicants who have not previously received a ‘Women Deliver Conference Scholarship’

What the Scholarship Covers

- Full Conference registration
- Hotel accommodation during the Conference (26-30 April, 2026)
- Roundtrip economy airfare
- Visa fees and related costs
- Per diems to cover local transportation and daily meals
- Travel insurance
Selection process

Applications are reviewed by the WD2026 team in consultation with regional partners. Approved applications are based on evidence of professional journalism and recent relevant coverage and alignment of your outlet/audience with WD2026 themes. All successful applicants will be notified by email by November 2025.
- What We Ask of Scholarship Recipients
- Active participation in WD2026 and media briefings (pre-event virtual sessions may be required)
- Publication/broadcast of coverage and timely sharing of links/clips with Women Deliver
- Adherence to embargoes, on-site filming/photography rules, and room-specific guidance
- Adherence to WD2026 Code of Conduct
