As part of the Aidsfonds Paediatric HIV Programme, this call for proposals aims to identify more children and adolescents living with HIV (ages 0–14) through proven, evidence-based approaches and interventions, and to ensure they are linked to paediatric HIV treatment.
Proposals should focus primarily on case identification, while also contributing to health system strengthening, in alignment with the Minimum Package of Care (Annex 1 of the full call). Applications should present biomedical data highlighting specific gaps in paediatric HIV testing and treatment, especially in densely populated areas with high HIV prevalence among children and young adolescents.
Eligible applicants are nationally registered, community-based, non-governmental, non-profit organizations with at least four to five years of experience in paediatric HIV programming. The organization’s objectives, as stated in its constitution, should align with the goals of this call and demonstrate strong governance structures.
Applications may be submitted by a single community-based organization or by a consortium, with a community-based organization serving as the lead applicant. Consortia may include community-based organizations, medical institutions, NGOs, and/or educational or research institutions such as universities. Each organization may submit only one application as lead applicant.

The total funding available for this call is EUR 2,775,000 for the period from 1 April 2026 to 31 December 2028. Annual budget requests may range from EUR 125,000 for Nigeria to EUR 200,000 for Malawi, Tanzania, Mozambique, and South Africa, per country per year. Aidsfonds expects to support five projects in total — one in each country.
