Call for proposals Responding to the Climate and Humanitarian Emergency in Kenya, The Nairobi Office of the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS) has launched a Call for Proposals for the emergency initiative titled “Response to the Climate and Humanitarian Emergency in Kenya”, with a total budget of €3,500,000.

Priority sectors for this initiative include Water, Hygiene, Environment, Land and Natural Resource Management, Climate Change, Agriculture and Food Security, Health, Protection (refugees, displaced populations, minorities, migrants, and others), and Disaster Risk Reduction.
The program seeks to strengthen humanitarian action for vulnerable communities in Kenya who are most impacted by climate shocks such as drought and floods. Its objective is to build resilience by improving access to safe water and sanitation, boosting agricultural productivity and food security, reinforcing health systems, protecting displaced and marginalized groups, and advancing disaster risk reduction measures.

Funding and Duration

Projects can run for a maximum period of 21 months, with funding requests to AICS capped at €875,000. This limit applies equally to proposals submitted by a single nonprofit as well as to joint applications presented by two or more organizations under a Temporary Association of Purpose (ATS).
