Kherwadi Social Welfare Association (KSWA) is an NGO set up in 1928 by Late Mr. B.G. Kher, the first Premier of the then Bombay Presidency. KSWA’s flagship program Yuva Parivartan (YP) is a 25-year-old movement that works on two key strategic pathways;

1)Rural & Urban Livelihoods – which focuses on providing livelihood training and support to underprivileged youth in villages and city slums. This segment primarily comprises school dropouts for whom employment opportunities are extremely limited. Most of these youth, if they find work at all, end up working as casual, unskilled labour. YP provides short-term vocational training courses that help integrate such youth into the mainstream workforce, making them contributing members of society.

Yuva Parivartan is one of the few national level NGOs with a proven, scalable and replicable model for skills development and enabling gainful employment.
