MAMTA HIMC is implementing a project with a focus on improved Mother and Child Health outcomes amongst the rural population in Uttar Pradesh. Currently, MAMTA-HIMC is looking for a suitable candidate in the capacity of Program Officer for strengthening Maternal and child Services through various intervention in Hariyawan Block, Hardoi, Uttar Pradesh.

JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

Program Officer will be responsible to manage, monitor and implement the program in the assigned intervention villages/blocks.
Key Responsibilities:
- The person will be responsible for the overall planning and implementation of the program in the intervention block/villages.
- PO will also liaise with stakeholders at the ground level which will include government counterparts, community stakeholders (PRI Members), and donors.
- PO will also look into HR and financial management and liaise with MAMTA HO for the same through Regional Manager.
- PO will also undertake supervisory visits to monitor the quality of services and submit the reports as required on a predefined frequency.
- PO will liaise with the district/block/village nodals for microplanning routes.
- The person will be responsible to monitor the progress of the program and take the necessary initiatives to address the gaps.
- Sharing of learning, and best practices with the department and other stakeholders through regular meetings for generating support to effectively achieve the project objectives.
- Maintaining daily camp records as per route map, support team in camp setup, and coordination with the key stakeholders in the community.
- Keeping track of achievements and backlog against plan and ensuring the timely & meaningful achievement of planned targets.
- Providing regular mentoring to service providers (AWW/ ASHA / women help desk service personnel/others).
- Verification of field data & sharing the reports, within the timeline (financial, project implementation, admin etc) to the concerned person at headquarter.
- Ensure proper documentation of the project activities conducted at ground level.
- Any other work as assigned by the supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, AND COMPETENCIES:

- Master in social science/ MPH/MHA with a minimum of five years of work experience in coordinating health and development interventions with district, and block-level officials to support replication and sustainability.
- Experience working in Public Health Sector is essential.
- Thorough understanding and proven ability in managing community-based projects especially in public health that includes planning, operationalization, monitoring, documentation, and reporting.
- Excellent written and communication skills in English and Hindi with a focus on sharing experience and building capacity.
- Managerial and leadership skills
- Excellent team management.
- Good computer skills, especially in MS Office and Internet.
- Willingness to travel in the field to support, and mentor project activities
- Ability to accomplish tasks within time limits.
