The Business Development Officer will be responsible for mobilizing funds, developing new projects, and building strategic partnerships to support the growth and sustainability of the NGO. The role focuses on identifying funding opportunities, preparing proposals, engaging with corporates, donors, CSR partners, and institutions, and ensuring alignment with the NGO’s mission and impact goals.
Roles and Responsibilities for NGO Job in Mumbai Maharashtra for Fund Raising Officer Apply By 31 January 2026
- Fund Raising and Resource Mobilisation
Identify and pursue funding opportunities from CSR, corporates, foundations, trusts, donors, and government schemes
Develop and maintain a pipeline of prospective donors and funding partners
Lead discussions, presentations, and negotiations with potential funders
Support donor retention through regular communication and relationship management
- Proposal Development and Documentation
Prepare project proposals, concept notes, budgets, and funding applications
Customize proposals based on donor priorities, CSR mandates, and compliance requirements
Coordinate with program teams to ensure accurate project design and impact articulation
Ensure timely submission of proposals and follow-up with donors
Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work, Management, Development Studies, or related field
3–5 years of experience in NGO fundraising, CSR partnerships, or business development
Proven track record of raising funds or securing projects
Strong understanding of CSR guidelines, donor expectations, and proposal formats
