Program Manager Job Vacancy in Sutara Learning Foundation/Chimple Overview about the Organization
About Chimple: Chimple is an EdTech-focused Social Enterprise enabling children from low-income communities to achieve Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) through our award-winning open-source application. Chimple is among the 5 Finalists in the competitive Global Learning XPRIZE, which challenged teams from around the world to develop open-source and scalable software that will enable children in developing countries to teach themselves basic reading, writing and arithmetic within 15 months. Chimple is a grantee of Central Square Foundation.
Chimple has implemented in-school programs in 35 government schools in Chamarajanagar, Karnataka, and 15 BMC schools in Mumbai, and our at-home learning app has been used by 200,000 children across India. We have also conducted a year-long research evaluation across 35-40 schools in the Haryana/UP area in coordination with respected organisations in the Education/Development sector. Due to the potential for a huge scale-up of EdTech solutions, we believe we are just beginning to make an impact, and our goal is to reach 1 million children across India in 3 years.
Position Summary: We are scaling our at-home EdTech program targeting school children and teachers and aim to reach 300 low-cost schools and 15000 children this year. As part of our scaling-up program, we will be creating a replicable model for FLN delivery across the country. The Program Manager (PM) is responsible for the high-quality design and smooth operation of our programs in various schools across different states. The PM plays a key role in liaising with all major external stakeholders, including partners, schools, governments, funders and researchers, while working with internal teams to create, shape and deliver impactful programs. Specifically, the PM will work with the leadership team of Chimple to drive initial ideation, partnership development and M&E implementation for new and existing programs.
