About the Program (Program Officer Youth Program NGO Job in Bangalore Last 9 March 2025)

We use content, pedagogy and technology, to drive the delivery of teaching and learning. Through our signature blended learning approach we develop critical life-work skills that are critical for success in the 21st century. Our curriculum includes media elements like games, videos, audio, and visuals as well as the use of dictionaries for vernacular translations.

Roles & Responsibilities (Program Officer Youth Program NGO Job in Bangalore Last 9 March 2025)

Hands on with the Sector/Module Content and Learning Outcomes

  1. VTI Center Support:
  • Regularly visit VTI (Vocational Training Institute) centers in Karnataka, Kerala, Telangana and Tamil Nadu to provide support to trainers in curriculum planning, content delivery, and other training-related aspects.
  • Collaborate with trainers to enhance the quality of training materials, methodologies, and assessments to ensure they align with industry standards and meet the needs of the youth.
  • Being on top of VTI content and sharing critical inputs for improvement.
  • Facilitate the gradual independence and sustainability of trainers, placement officers, and centers by providing guidance, mentorship, and support.
  • Co- design and Co-deliver the training for VTIs.
  • Identify areas of improvement and develop strategies to institutionalize best practices related to training, placements, and alumni engagement activities, actively involving key stakeholders.
  • Build strong relationships with different stakeholders and managing donor engagements
  1. VTI Org support

Work with VTI heads to ensure :

  • MoU commitments in Training and Placements are met.
  • Timely release and utilization of subgrant amounts
  • Quality intervention
  1. NSTI Engagement
  • Collaborate with NSTI Hyderabad effectively to meet the training needs of the learners on employability skills
  • Support and mentor NSTI facilitator Hyderabad in curriculum planning content delivery, placement and any other training-related aspects.
  • Build strong relationships with different stakeholders and managing donor engagements
  • Timely and Effective Delivery of Sessions
  • Internal Organizational Engagement:
  • Participate and contribute to the organization’s working groups and forums, actively sharing insights, lessons learned, and innovative ideas to enhance the overall impact of youth employability programs.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the organization to foster a culture of learning, sharing, and continuous improvement.
Flexibility and Adaptability (Program Officer Youth Program NGO Job in Bangalore Last 9 March 2025)
  • Provide support in any youth employability-related activities as required by the program, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability to meet evolving needs.
  • Identify and facilitate the capturing of program-related learnings, ensuring that knowledge gained is documented, shared, and utilized to inform program enhancements and future initiatives.
  • Relationship Management – Students and Internal Team
  • Develop an Effective working relationship with the Organization heads in Karnataka.
  • Contributing to Industry Engagement Strategies in Karnataka, Telangana and Tamil Nadu to understand emerging trends in green and tech with regard to VTIs.
  • Building strategies for center-level career connect events.
  • Support any other activities related to My QUEST Program whenever needed.
  • Building a pool of potential partners in the South
  • Working along with the team lead for any thematic/support functions such as training, communications, research, data & tech, FAIT and any other internal teams as required to fulfill program and organizational requirements.
Reporting (Program Officer Youth Program NGO Job in Bangalore Last 9 March 2025)
  • Ensure the monitoring data reaches the M&E focal point on time.
  • Use the appropriate M&E tools for reporting.
  • Ensure the conduct of baseline, endline, and other assessments as per the requirements.
  • Follow up with ITIs, VTIs, and Polytechnics to share data of students enrolled/ dropped out and the data of Institutes as required by the M&E framework.
  • Ensure student data is updated in the central database.
  • Ensure trainers and principals at the institute know about our work through simple monthly reports.
  • Provide regular written and verbal reports tracking progress against the work plan and implementation schedules.
  • Ensure all the program report, including case studies and photographs, reaches the M&E focal point at the stipulated time.
  • Documentation of center, trainer, and student success stories.
  • Participate and contribute to team meetings and reviews.
  • Support all reporting requirements, such as quarter reviews and annual reviews.
  • Ensure VTIs are aware of QUEST reporting requirements, follow up on the same, and document.
  • Ensure that event data is completed within 48 hours of the completion of the event and submitted with proper documentation of the session plan, participants list, report, and photographs
Skills Required (Program Officer Youth Program NGO Job in Bangalore Last 9 March 2025)
  • Atleast 3-4 years of relevant experience preferably in youth employability space.
  • Knowledge of liasioning and working with multi stakeholders and partnership management.
  • Able to manage and work with teams from across different geographies.
  • Good computer skills
  • Must be able to work to meet the needs and targets of the program.

  • Must be able to work flexibly to meet the needs of the program.
  • Willing to undertake external visits & should be open to traveling across the country
  • Must be a team player and be able to negotiate and consult with all those engaged internally and externally on green initiatives.
  • Salary: The pay band for the position starts at Rs. 35,000/- per month (cost to company) (The salary offered will be commensurate with the experience and expertise of the candidate)
