Position Summary: (Programme Officer Gender NGO Job in Thane Maharashtra Last Date 5 March 2025)

The ideal candidate is passionate about social equality and advocacy, with experience developing and implementing gender-sensitive communication strategies. In this role, you will work closely with our staff to provide expertise on gender issues and communication, ensuring our organisation is inclusive and responsive to the needs of diverse populations.

Location: Thane

Time Commitment: Full-time

Reporting: Programme Director

Budget: 5 lac per annum

Key Responsibilities: (Programme Officer Gender NGO Job in Thane Maharashtra Last Date 5 March 2025)

Develop and implement communication strategies and initiatives that align with our organisation’s mission and goals.
Conduct research and analysis on gender-related issues to inform organisational perspectives and messaging.
Provide technical assistance and training to staff and other stakeholders on gender mainstreaming and best communication practices.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of communication strategies, and adjust as needed.
Collaborate with external organizations and stakeholders to leverage their expertise and promote inclusive communication approaches in the media and advertising ecosystem.
Develop and manage gender-responsive campaigns and events that raise awareness of critical social and civic issues addresses under the Laadli Programme.
Manage and update our organization’s website, social media, and other communication channels.

Qualifications & Experience: (Programme Officer Gender NGO Job in Thane Maharashtra Last Date 5 March 2025)

Bachelor’s degree in Gender Studies, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
Entry level- 2 years of relevant work experience in strategic communications, gender equity, and advocacy.

Knowledge of gender analysis and gender mainstreaming approaches.
Proven ability to deliver gender-sensitive communication strategies and initiatives.

Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, with the capacity to work effectively with diverse groups of people.
