What we do: (Center for Social Security Action & Research)
Education Program: Shiksha Shakti
Shiksha Shakti, an initiative by CSSAR, aims to uplift underprivileged children living in the slums and villages of Delhi by providing specialized educational support. This targeted program is designed for students in both primary and secondary grades who face learning challenges and come from families below the Poverty Line (BPL).
Through remedial classes held after school hours directly in the communities, Shiksha Shakti helps bridge the educational gaps often found in government schooling. By offering personalized coaching and extra academic support from classes I to X, we ensure that these children stay engaged, understand their subjects better, and reduce the risk of school dropout.
The program’s tailored approach, with students grouped by grade level, allows for focused attention and enhanced learning. This individual support boosts their confidence, improves school performance, and motivates them to continue their education journey. Ultimately, Shiksha Shakti sustains children’s and parents’ interest in formal education, providing a strong foundation for future academic success.
