Objective of the Role:

To ensure the effective planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of the NABARD wadi (agro-horti-forestry) project, aimed at enhancing livelihoods and ecological sustainability among small and marginal farmers, especially from tribal and backward regions.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Planning & Implementation

• Coordinate day-to-day activities under the Wadi project as per the DPR (Detailed Project Report).

• Ensure timely execution of key components: land development, plantation, soil and water conservation (SWC), and capacity building.

• Work closely with farmers, field facilitators, and community-based organizations (CBOs).

• Organize baseline surveys, land selection, and beneficiary identification in coordination with local stakeholders.

2. Community Mobilization

• Facilitate the formation and strengthening of Farmer Interest Groups (FIGs), SHGs, and Wadi Committees.

• Promote community participation and ensure inclusion of women and marginalized groups.

• Build trust and rapport with the local communities to ensure active engagement.

3. Capacity Building

• Organize training programs, exposure visits, and demonstrations for farmers on improved horticulture and agroforestry practices.

• Liaise with technical experts and line departments for knowledge support.

4. Monitoring & Evaluation

• Conduct regular field visits to assess project progress and quality of interventions.

• Maintain detailed records including plantation registers, activity reports,

• Ensure timely procurement and distribution of inputs (plants, tools, etc.) to beneficiaries.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Graduate/Postgraduate in Agriculture, Rural Development, Forestry, or a related field.

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in community-based rural development or agroforestry projects.

• Good communication skills in local language and Hindi/English.

• Proficiency in report writing, MIS, and basic computer applications.

• Willingness to travel and stay in rural/remote areas.
