Global Health Strategies Institute (GHSi) in collaboration with Tata Trusts and its partners; Vijayavahini Charitable Foundation (VCF) and Centre for Microfinance (CmF) – has embarked on a three-year strategic initiative titled ‘Targeted Food Fortification in Social Safety-Net Programs.’ The goal of the project is “strengthening and promotion of targeted fortification of food items under two flagship programs; PM-POSHAN (formerly the Mid-day Meal Scheme) of the Education Department and Take-Home Ration (THR) under the Supplementary Nutrition Program (SNP) of Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) Scheme in select districts of Andhra Pradesh (all mandals of Parvatipuram Manyam, Tirupati, and NTR) and Rajasthan (all blocks in Sirohi, Karauli, Dausa, and Dungarpur).

The State Project Manager will serve as a pivotal leader responsible for overseeing the state-level operations, initiatives, and engagements. This role necessitates a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of the local landscape, coupled with strategic acumen to drive alignment, design outreach strategies, and foster collaborative partnerships, including with government stakeholders. Reporting directly to the Senior Manager/Director, the incumbent will play a critical role in shaping and executing state-specific initiatives toward enhancing the quality and impact of nutrition programs and achieving targeted state goals.

Strategic Alignment & Design
- Collaborate closely with the Senior Manager/Director to align state-level initiatives, design outreach efforts, and curate relevant materials and resources.
- Provide strategic counsel on the local environment, emerging trends, and opportunities to optimize program effectiveness and stakeholder engagement.
State-Level Operations
- Lead the planning, coordination, and implementation of all state-level activities, liaise with state-level Associate Organization, toward ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and state-specific needs.
- Support in the development of key documents, reports, briefs and modules, to enhance operational efficiency and ensure alignment with project objectives.
- Cultivate and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including state government agencies, NGOs, community organizations, and other relevant entities.
- Oversee the development and execution of state stakeholder workshops, events, and initiatives to foster collaboration, knowledge sharing, and partnership building.
- Material Development & Resource Curation
- Curate and develop state-specific materials, tools, and resources to support program implementation, capacity building, and stakeholder engagement.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure the relevance, accuracy, and effectiveness of developed materials and resources.
Training & Capacity Building
- Support the planning and execution of workshops, capacity-building sessions, and other educational initiatives to empower local stakeholders and enhance program delivery.
- Develop monitoring checklists, schedules, and tools to ensure the quality, compliance, and effectiveness of state-level activities and interventions.
Qualifications

- Advanced degree in Public Health, Business Administration, Communications or a related field is preferrable.
- Proven experience (at least 5-7 years) in project management, stakeholder engagement (preferably in Andhra Pradesh), and strategic planning at the national level.
- Strong communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Telugu is strongly preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, projects, and stakeholders concurrently.
- Demonstrated expertise in content development, training, and capacity building.
- Require familiarity (work experience) with the healthcare, nutrition and food fortification.
