The Ministry of Tribal Affairs Invites Contestants for Legends of the Land Tribal Folk Tales Contest India, In celebration of Dharti Aaba Birsa Munda Jayanti and as part of the Janjatiya Gaurav Varsh festivities, the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, in collaboration with MyGov, invites citizens to take part in the Tribal Folk Tales Contest.

This contest welcomes participants to share inspiring folk tales, legends, and oral stories from India’s tribal communities—stories that embody their wisdom, bravery, traditions, and harmonious bond with nature. These narratives can spotlight tribal heroes, age-old customs, or cultural values that continue to enrich India’s diverse heritage.

Retell the timeless tales of courage, wisdom, and nature — stories that continue to echo through generations.

Applicants are encouraged to carefully review the full details and submit their applications before the specified deadline to seize this grant opportunity.

Terms and Conditions

(The Ministry of Tribal Affairs Invites Contestants for Legends of the Land Tribal Folk Tales Contest India)

This contest is open to Indian nationals only.

2. Employees of MoTA and individuals involved in organizing the competition, as well as their immediate family members, are not eligible to participate.
3. Each participant may submit only one entry. Multiple submissions will lead to disqualification.
4. All entries must be submitted on the MyGov platform. Submissions through other modes will not be accepted.
5. Entries submitted after the deadline or with incomplete MyGov profiles will not be considered. The participant must be the same person as the profile owner.
6. The comic strip must be original, unpublished in any media, and must not violate the Indian Copyright Act, 1957. Plagiarism or copyright infringement will result in disqualification.
7. Only entries adhering to the guidelines will be accepted. Violations of the rules at any stage will lead to disqualification without notice.
8. The entries submitted would be the sole property of the MoTA with the right to use and right to edit for any purpose it considers appropriate.
9. All the entries received by MyGov would be assessed by a committee of judges. The decision of the Committee shall be final and binding.
10. Selected participants will be notified via the email provided in their MyGov profile, and the winners’ names will be displayed on the MyGov website.
11. In the event of unforeseen circumstances, the organizers reserve the right to amend or withdraw the competition at any time. For the avoidance of doubt, this includes the right to amend these terms and conditions.
12. All disputes/legal complaints are subject to the jurisdiction of Delhi only. Expenses incurred for this purpose will be borne by the parties themselves.
