Samuel H. Kress Foundation Invites Applications for Conservation Grants 2026 for United States: Funding Information, Eligibility Criteria and Selection Process Explained

Samuel H. Kress Foundation Invites Applications for Conservation Grants 2026 for United States, The Conservation Grants program is designed to strengthen and advance the professional practice of art conservation, with a particular emphasis on European works of art dating from antiquity through the early nineteenth century. The program provides funding to initiatives that generate, document, and share specialized conservation knowledge. Supported projects include archival research, the creation and dissemination of scholarly databases, comprehensive documentation efforts, exhibitions and publications centered on art conservation, academic studies, and technical or scientific research related to conservation practices.

In addition, the program supports activities that encourage the exchange of knowledge among conservators and conservation scientists and help bring conservation expertise to a wider audience. These activities may include international exchange programs, professional meetings, conferences, symposia, expert consultations, research presentations, and exhibitions that highlight artistic materials and techniques. By funding both research-driven projects and professional engagement initiatives, the Conservation Grants program aims to promote collaboration, innovation, and wider understanding within the field of art conservation.
