EDHE and Mr Price Foundation Presents Waste Innovation Challenge 2026 South Africa Entries are now open, The Waste Innovation Challenge is a nationwide initiative designed to empower 400 university students to transform waste into sustainable and commercially viable solutions. Through a combination of capacity-building training, expert mentorship, and business development support, participants will gain the skills needed to establish green enterprises that strengthen South Africa’s expanding circular economy. From this cohort, the top 20 innovators focused on plastic waste solutions will be shortlisted to advance to the next stage of the challenge.
