Gram Niyojan Kendra, a national level organisation, working since 1977, towards transforming the lives of women and children from disadvantaged and deprived communities, is hiring for the position of Programme Manager (Azim Premji Foundation Project) to be based at its Project location, i.e Nichlol, Maharajganj District, Uttar Pradesh. The Manager will work under the direct supervision of Director and Secretary, Gram Niyojan Kendra.
Location: Nichlol, Maharajganj, Uttar Pradesh
Reporting to: Director and Secretary, Gram Niyojan Kendra
Employment type: One year, renewable based on performance and funding
Compensation: As per market rate.
Position Summary (NGO Job in Uttar Pradesh for Programme Manager Apply By 15 January 2026)
The Manager will be responsible for planning, implementing, monitoring, and reporting project activities at the field level. The role demands strong project management, coordination, documentation, and interpersonal skills. The Manager will build and maintain relationships with local authorities, Panchayats, Government officials, CBOs, SHGs, schools, health centres, etc.
The position will support project teams located across two different blocks and will require travel from time to time to district and head office at Ghaziabad.
Qualifications and Experience
- A post graduate degree in social development, preferably in Social Work, Rural Development, Sociology, or related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in project implementation in the development sector.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in working with communities, especially in rural setting.
- Proficient in report writing, MS Office, and field-level data management.
- Fluency in Hindi and English.
