Application Open for Small Action Fund 2026 Offered By Embassy of Switzerland to India and Bhutan, The Embassy of Switzerland in India and Bhutan has announced a call for project proposals from Indian and international Civil Society Organizations (CSOs). Eligible organizations are invited to apply for financial support under the Swiss Embassy Small Action Fund, which aims to back impactful, community-focused initiatives.
Applicants are encouraged to carefully review the full details and submit their applications before the specified deadline to seize this grant opportunity.

Criteria for Application Open for Small Action Fund 2026 Offered By Embassy of Switzerland to India and Bhutan
Interested CSOs are to carefully read the below criteria:
The Embassy can support projects on topics such as human rights, migration, humanitarian work, peace, good governance and democracy, inclusiveness and gender, in the area of development / poverty reduction.
Projects that promote eco-conscious practices, address environmental challenges or contribute to long-term ecological balance align with our commitment to fostering a greener and more sustainable future. Proposals with innovative solutions/products in these are also encouraged to be submitted.
Funding is available for specific activities and projects (such as training, workshops etc.); proposals that exclusively request funding for staffing or purchasing supplies will not be considered.
The funded activities need to be implemented within one calendar year, i.e. 2026. Specifically, the project duration shall be from time of signing in early 2026 until latest end of October 2026, leaving sufficient time for submission and approval of final reports.
The same organization cannot be supported two years consecutively. However, the activities funded by the Swiss Embassy can be part of a larger project that covers multiple aspects or spans over a longer time, the limitations above are purely for the specific activities to be funded by the Embassy.
The financial commitment to selected project depends on the proposal submitted and the overall budget available at the Embassy. Typically, project funds range between 5’000- 7’000 CHF.

Interested CSO are requested to submit their proposal using the prescribed template (PDF, 2 Pages, 257.8 kB, English) .
The deadline for the application is 1 st February 2026

with subject head ‘Country, ie India or Bhutan’, ‘Name of the Organization’: Small Action Fund 2026, Embassy of Switzerland to India and Bhutan.
