?? Role Overview
The Senior Accountant will play a critical role in ensuring robust financial management, statutory compliance, and accurate donor and project reporting across multiple programmes.
The position requires close coordination with programme teams, auditors, consultants, donors, and the management.
?? Key Responsibilities for NGO Job in Chhindwara Madhya Pradesh for Senior Accountant Apply By 28 February 2026
Accounting
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounts for Pararth Samiti and assigned projects
- Ensure monthly, quarterly, and annual account closing
- Manage bank accounts, cash books, and bank reconciliations
- Maintain asset register and depreciation schedules
- Prepare monthly Statements of Expenditure (SOE)
Statutory & Regulatory Compliance
- Support accounting and documentation related to 12A, 80G, Society Registration, and FCRA (where applicable)
- Assist in timely filing of Income Tax, TDS, PF, ESI, Professional Tax etc.
- Prepare documentation for donor due diligence, government audits, and statutory notices
Donor & Project Accounting
- Maintain project-wise and donor-wise accounting, including restricted funds.
- Track budget vs expenditure and report variances to programme and management teams.
- Ensure accurate utilisation and reporting of CSR, NABARD, and trust-based funds.
Audit & Reporting
- Prepare vouchers, schedules, and supporting documents for internal and statutory audits
- Coordinate with auditors and support timely closure of audit observations
- Prepare Receipts & Payments, Income & Expenditure Statements, and Balance Sheet
- Support reporting requirements for the Board, donors, and management
- Ensure timely payments to vendors, consultants, and community-based partners
?? Qualifications & Experience for NGO Job in Chhindwara Madhya Pradesh for Senior Accountant Apply By 28 February 2026
- Education: B.Com / M.Com or equivalent
- Experience: Minimum 5–8 years, preferably in NGO / donor-funded organisations
- Strong understanding of NGO-related statutory compliances
- Proven experience in audits and donor reporting

- Proficiency in Tally ERP 9 / Tally Prime and MS Excel
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Collaborative working style with programme teams

- Experience with FCRA-funded projects
- Familiarity with CSR, foundation, or international donor compliance frameworks
