AIM4Forests Accelerating Innovative Monitoring for Forests 2026 Applications Are Open Now, The Young Forest Champions Initiative is your opportunity to make a real and lasting impact!
Open to youth in Ghana, Indonesia, Kenya, Peru, Uganda, and Zambia, the initiative empowers young leaders to drive transformative forest conservation efforts.
Through mentorship, capacity development, and access to innovative tools such as remote sensing technologies, participants will develop the skills needed to restore forests, monitor ecosystems, and safeguard critical landscapes.
After proven success in Kenya, the program is now expanding—offering youth in additional countries the platform to spark meaningful environmental change in their communities and beyond.
Each participating country will select ten outstanding young leaders to join a vibrant network shaping the future of forests and strengthening climate resilience locally and globally.

Eligibility Criteria AIM4Forests Accelerating Innovative Monitoring for Forests 2026 Applications Are Open Now
To apply, you must:
- Be between 18 and 30 years old at the time of application.
- Be a current university student or recent graduate.
- Reside in Ghana, Indonesia, Kenya, Peru, Uganda, or Zambia.
- Have an intermediate or higher proficiency in English.
- Have a reliable internet connection to participate in the initiative.
- Commit to full participation in the initiative activities throughout 2026.
- Young women and men, individuals from Indigenous groups, and persons with disabilities are encouraged to apply!
- Knowledge of forestry issues and volunteer work with local communities will be an asset.
