Open Call for Ekhagastiftelsen Grant Opportunity 2026 ngoscope.com

Open Call for Ekhagastiftelsen Grant Opportunity 2026, In 1944, a visionary named Gösta Videgård set out with a simple yet powerful belief—that true public health begins with the way people live, eat, and heal. From this idea, the Ekhagastiftelsen was born, carrying forward a mission to nurture healthier societies through knowledge and innovation.

Over the decades, the foundation has quietly but steadily supported scientific exploration in areas that often lie at the intersection of tradition and modern science. Its work spans the advancement of organic agriculture, ensuring that the food people consume is not only sustainable but also of the highest quality—from how it is grown to how it is prepared and stored. At the same time, it has invested in research that deepens understanding of nutrition and lifestyle, recognizing that everyday habits shape long-term well-being.

Ekhagastiftelsen has also embraced the potential of complementary and alternative medicine, backing studies that explore natural remedies and holistic healing approaches. This broad yet focused commitment reflects a belief that health is multifaceted—rooted in both science and nature.

Today, the foundation stands as Sweden’s largest private supporter of research in these fields. Each year, it channels between 25 and 30 million Swedish Krona into promising projects. Its long-term impact is even more striking: over the past 25 years alone, it has distributed more than 300 million Swedish Krona across over 440 grants.

What began as one man’s vision has evolved into a lasting legacy—one that continues to shape healthier futures through research, innovation, and a deep respect for the natural foundations of human well-being.
