  • Three-Year Appointment: Young Professionals are appointed for a fixed three-year term, beginning with an initial placement in an operations or operations-support role at ADB headquarters in Manila. This provides hands-on exposure to ADB’s core operations, policies, and procedures.
  • Rotational Assignment: After approximately 18 months, participants move to a rotational assignment in another area of ADB, depending on their career interests and organizational requirements.
  • Professional Development: Participants may contribute to fact-finding missions, policy studies, and project implementation activities, while also gaining access to the ADB Young Professional mentorship program. Mentors include experienced international staff, including professionals who previously participated in the Young Professionals Program.
