2027 Collaborative Discussion Emerging Fellowship by The Interactivity Foundation, The Interactivity Foundation works to help people have more thoughtful conversations, understand different viewpoints, and build trust through open discussion. Its work focuses on strengthening the communication and critical thinking skills people need to participate meaningfully in a democratic society.
Through its Collaborative Discussion Project (CDP) Emerging Fellowship, the Foundation supports individuals who want to bring better discussion practices into their classrooms, workplaces, and local communities. The year-long fellowship pairs each Emerging Fellow with a Senior Fellow who has experience in collaborative discussion and promoting democratic engagement.
With guidance from their mentors, Interactivity Foundation staff, and fellow participants, Emerging Fellows develop and lead a project that introduces collaborative discussion methods to their own professional or community settings. Each participant also creates a final resource, which could be a written article, an audiovisual project, or new educational material, to help advance the Foundation’s mission. The fellowship combines practical experience, mentorship, and peer learning to help participants encourage more constructive conversations and strengthen community engagement.
