To empower a group of young individuals from India with the skills, values, and practical understanding required to promote peace and sustainable development while addressing both emerging and ongoing global and national challenges.
To provide a transformative and immersive learning journey that prepares Indian youth to become future leaders and changemakers.
To build a strong and engaged network of UNESCO MGIEP youth leaders committed to advancing peace and sustainable development.

Eligibility Criteria for Applications are now open for UNESCO MGIEP Youth Fellowship Opportunity 2026 on Leadership for Peace and Sustainability for Indian Citizens

Applicants must be below 30 years of age at the start of the fellowship.
Must be an Indian citizen currently residing in India.
Should have completed an undergraduate degree before the fellowship begins.
Individuals from all genders, socio-economic backgrounds, cultures, and persons with disabilities are highly encouraged to apply.
Must be able to participate in the fellowship in person in South Korea.
A good command of the English language is mandatory.
