Mukherjee Fellowship Structure:
- Theoretical Learning Module (3 Months, In-person)
Before deployment, Fellows undergo intensive classroom training led by subject matter experts, covering:
- Understanding Indian Society – Analyzing political, social, and cultural frameworks.
- Political Campaigns & Communications 101 – Strategies for elections, media relations, and voter engagement
- Understanding Parliamentary Procedures – Insights into legislative processes and policymaking.
- Law and Economics in India – Decoding the intersection of governance, law, and fiscal policies
- Experiential Learning Module (9 Months, Practical Work)
After completing their training, Fellows are placed in the offices of leading public figures, gaining hands-on exposure to:
- Drafting inputs on bills, parliamentary questions, and policy discussions
- Managing social media and political communications
- Assisting in election campaigns and constituency strategy
- Conducting in-depth policy research and legislative analysis
Stipend: For the period of the Fellowship including the training module, Fellows will receive a stipend of 50,000 per month.

The Fellowship welcomes young professionals and final-year students aspiring to build careers in policy and political consulting. If you are still in college, we recommend applying for the ICPC Internship instead.
Applicants must be 25 years or younger as of July 1, 2025 (born on or after July 1, 2000).
