Entries Open for 2nd Cohort MERISTEMS Students Agri Startup Incubation Programme 2026, The Agripreneurship Orientation Program is designed to give students a platform to nurture and refine their innovative ideas through a one-month structured training programme combined with hands-on internship exposure alongside emerging startups. Under the mentorship of experienced and forward-thinking entrepreneurs, participants gain practical knowledge of business fundamentals, market strategies, sector-specific challenges, and real-world solutions.

Students who have innovative concepts and aspire to start an agri-business venture are encouraged to apply. The programme provides one month of training along with a grant-in-aid of up to ₹4 lakh, routed through KP/R-ABIs, to support selected candidates in transforming their idea or proof of concept into a viable prototype or product. The grant is offered once in each financial year, and applicants are not required to be registered as startups under DPIIT guidelines.

Objectives of the Programme for Entries Open for 2nd Cohort MERISTEMS Students Agri Startup Incubation Programme 2026

1. To nurture aspiring agripreneurs by offering a blend of training and internship exposure with startups, enabling them to gain practical, technical, and business-oriented insights.
2. To build and sustain a strong pipeline of agripreneurs for incubation support.
3. To position entrepreneurship based on innovative ideas as an attractive and viable career choice alongside other professional options.

Eligibility Criteria for Entries Open for 2nd Cohort MERISTEMS Students Agri Startup Incubation Programme 2026

1. Applicants must be residents of Andhra Pradesh.
   b. All incubatees of the ANGRAU Poshan Incubator are eligible for this funding upon successful completion of the one-month training programme, subject to consistent performance evaluated by RC-KP.
   c. Startups that have already received support from any other R-ABI will not be eligible to apply to ANGRAU Poshan in subsequent rounds under the student category or seed support.

Selection Process and Funding Support for Entries Open for 2nd Cohort MERISTEMS Students Agri Startup Incubation Programme 2026

1. Agripreneurs will be shortlisted based on innovative solutions, processes, products, services, or business models in agriculture and allied sectors by the R-ABI Incubation Committee (RIC).
   b. After completion of the one-month training, RIC will assess the progress of incubatees and, based on their performance, recommend suitable candidates for student category funding to RC-KP.
   c. RC-KP will further evaluate the recommendations and forward eligible incubatees to the nodal division, Department of Agriculture, Cooperation & Farmers Welfare (DAC&FW), for approval under the student category.
   d. The nodal division, DAC&FW, will review, approve, and sanction the projects based on RC-KP’s recommendations and release the first instalment of the grant-in-aid to KP for onward disbursement to the incubatee.
   e. The ANGRAU Poshan Incubator–R-ABI will execute a legal agreement with the selected incubatee prior to the release of the first instalment. This agreement will outline milestones, monitoring norms, and other terms and conditions. Subsequent fund disbursements will be linked to the achievement of predefined milestones.
