2026 Reels2Road Safe Roads Begin With You Contest India Apply Now, Reels2Road – Safe Roads Begin With You is an initiative organised by the Centre of Excellence for Road Safety (CoERS), IIT Madras, under the aegis of the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH), in collaboration with MyGov.
This competition invites citizens to step behind the camera and create short, original reel videos that carry meaningful road safety messages. Through concise and impactful visual storytelling, Reels2Road aims to inspire responsible road behaviour and strengthen civic responsibility among all road users.

Technical Parameters for 2026 Reels2Road Safe Roads Begin With You Contest India Apply Now

1.) Reel duration: 30 to 90 Seconds, suitable for Instagram/YouTube Shorts, public posting required.

2.) Include brief description (100+ words), and no watermarks.

3.) Can be in English or any regional language with English subtitles.

4.) Must strictly follow the given theme (Road safety)

5.) Entries must be original with no copyright infringement. No plagiarism, No offensive, inappropriate, or harmful content.

6.) Video format: Vertical (9:16 ratio)

7.) Post the reel on your official Instagram/ YouTube account by collaborating @coers_iitm page and tagging @morthindia & @iitmadrasofficial

8.) Submission of video links (with public view access)

Winners will be evaluated by a jury based on:

1. The clarity of the road safety message
2. Creativity of storytelling

iii. Visual and technical quality

1. Originality (no plagiarism)
2. Adherence to rules (length, hashtags)

vii. Overall effectiveness in promoting safe practices.

1.) First winner to receive prize money of ₹10,000/-.
