Introduction: Application Invited from Limerick Grants under the Arts Act Funding Scheme Ireland 2025, Limerick City and County Council is delighted to invite applications for its ‘Grants Under the Arts Act’ Scheme. This initiative provides funding to individual artists, community groups, amateur or voluntary organizations, and arts practitioners. The scheme aims to spark public interest in the arts, foster knowledge, appreciation, and practice of various art forms, and contribute to elevating artistic standards across the community.

Grants Range: The total amount in the fund for 2025 is €20,000.
Purpose of the Grant (Application Invited from Limerick Grants under the Arts Act Funding Scheme Ireland 2025)
- To grow Limerick’s cultural capacity by retaining and attracting creative practitioners to live and work in Limerick
- To support and grow innovative and creative collectives in Limerick
- To foster multiple examples of imagination, innovation and integration in Limerick and to use creative approaches to help citizens and visitors re-imagine Limerick
- To engage citizens through involvement in culture
Funding Information (Application Invited from Limerick Grants under the Arts Act Funding Scheme Ireland 2025)
- A total of €20,000 in funding is available for the 2025 ‘Grants Under the Arts Act’ scheme. Typical grant amounts range from €150 to €500, with exceptional projects eligible to receive larger grants of up to €1,000.
Eligibility Criteria (Application Invited from Limerick Grants under the Arts Act Funding Scheme Ireland 2025)
- Community and Voluntary organisations, artists, creative practitioners and arts organisations may apply.
- Applicants must be based in Limerick, or operate substantially within Limerick City and County, and be able to demonstrate this in their application.
- The grant scheme is open to artists at all stages in their professional careers.
- Individuals who are currently in, or who before the end of this grant period will be in undergraduate or post-graduate education, are not eligible.
- An applicant may only apply for one Grant under the Arts Act Award in any one calendar year. Projects at all stages are eligible for this funding strand.
- This means that you can apply for research and development of your project idea and/or delivery of the project, provided that:
- The project and the benefiting community are based in the Limerick City and County Council administrative area; or
- the applicant is based in Limerick, or operates substantially within Limerick City and County and is able to demonstrate this in their application; and
- Proposed activities will take place in 2025;
