About BC4T

(Blue Corridors for Turtles (BC4T) Small Grants Fund Application Open till 31 January 2026)

Blue Corridors for Turtles is a global initiative bringing together research institutions, non-profits, corporations, government agencies and local communities to conserve marine turtles. The project aims to map marine turtle movements and threats to pinpoint populations most at-risk and help identify IMTAs at a global scale. This builds upon the efforts to establish Regional Management Units led by the IUCN Marine Turtle Specialist Group (MTSG) in support of conservation strategies for targeted marine turtle recovery. BC4T is led by the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), in partnership with the Convention on Migratory Species Secretariat (CMS), the University of Queensland, ShellBank, SWOT, and the Collecte Localisation Satellites group (CLS–Argos), supporting the mission of the MTSG.
