UNDP is inviting proposals for Responsible Party for Energy-Development Integrated Modeling in United States of America: Check Funding and Eligibility Criteria

UNDP is inviting proposals for Responsible Party for Energy-Development Integrated Modeling in United States of America, The aim of this Call for Proposals is to design, operationalize, and document the first integrated version of the Energy–Development Integrated Modeling (EDIM) framework. EDIM is an open, multi-dimensional modeling system that supports countries in planning energy transitions aligned with their wider development priorities. It will help governments and policymakers evaluate trade-offs and identify co-benefits at the national level by linking energy system planning with development impact assessment across three key dimensions:

  1. i) Environmental sustainability (including CO₂ emissions, land use, and resource consumption)
ii) Economic productivity (such as GDP, value addition, manufacturing, agriculture, and related sectors)
iii) Social inclusion (including employment generation, education, and health outcomes)

This assignment will produce a scalable, validated, and fully documented modeling framework integrated into UNDP’s Sustainable Energy Digital Intelligence Platform. The system will enable users to simulate and interpret development-oriented energy transition scenarios. Ultimately, the model will act as a strategic advisory tool for UNDP Country Offices, supporting governments in aligning their energy transition strategies with national development plans and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Applicants are encouraged to carefully review the full details and submit their applications before the specified deadline to seize this grant opportunity.

Last Date of Submission: 5th December 2026
