JOB OBJECTIVES: (External Audit Officer Intentional Nonprofit Job in Location Lyon France Apply by 27 April 2025)
Reporting to the Risk and Audit Department, within the External Donor Audit team made up of 3 people, you will lead the audits of donors in your country portfolio, thus contributing to HI’s external accountability and the sustainability of donor confidence.
You are responsible for the entire audit process of your country portfolio: planning, preparation, execution, monitoring, evaluation, capitalization and analysis of results, whether contractual or specific audits.
As guarantor of the quality of the responses provided and compliance with deadlines, you ensure optimal management of audits.
Your main missions are as follows:
Be the main contact for external auditors
- Represent HI to auditors and ensure audit coordination.
- Plan interventions, contract audit missions and provide the required documents.
- Defend the organization by providing quality responses and relying on the relevant departments.
- Monitor the progress of audits and analyze the reports provided.
Manage lessor audits
- Develop and update the audit schedule based on contractual obligations.
- Prepare for each audit by collecting and verifying required documents.
- Coordinate responses to findings, alert on risks and comment on final reports.
- Follow up on recommendations and respond to feedback from donors regarding the results of audits conducted.
Monitor and evaluate the results of audits carried out at headquarters and in the field
- Define and improve monitoring tools and key performance indicators.
- Collect and analyze data to identify gaps and make recommendations.
- Document best practices and write periodic summary reports.
- Monitor the implementation of corrective actions and ensure the archiving of audit files.

- You have 2 years of experience in auditing and/or finance with knowledge of donors
- You demonstrate autonomy, diplomacy and organizational skills.
- You like data analysis
- You are fluent in French and English at a professional level
- Experience in humanitarian intervention fields is a plus
