About the Programme – Mein Pragati
Mein Pragati is a national CSR award–winning programme, recognized for its impactful and scalable work in financial inclusion, livelihood promotion, and community empowerment. Funded by CRISIL Foundation and implemented by RGVN, the programme has successfully demonstrated measurable outcomes across multiple geographies.
Building on its success, Mein Pragati is now being extended to the above-mentioned districts of Assam, with a strengthened focus on community leadership, digital financial inclusion, and sustainable livelihood pathways.
Role Summary for NGO Job in Assam for Field Officer Financial Literacy and Inclusion Program Apply By 15 February 2026
The Field Officer will be responsible for the on-ground implementation, coordination, and monitoring of Mein Pragati activities in the assigned district. The role requires extensive field engagement, strong community connect, and effective use of digital tools and technology-enabled reporting systems. The Field Officer will act as a vital link between the community, Sakhis, partner institutions, and the programme management team.

- Implement programme activities at village and block levels through regular field visits
- Mobilize, mentor, and provide continuous handholding support to Sakhis and community institutions
- Conduct awareness and capacity-building sessions on financial inclusion, insurance, social security, and livelihoods
- Coordinate with banks, government departments, and other local stakeholders
- Collect, verify, and upload field data through computer-based and mobile app–based MIS systems
- Ensure timely, accurate, and quality reporting using digital platforms, mobile applications, and online dashboards
- Maintain proper digital documentation, photographs, geo-tagged evidence, and field records
- Track progress against targets and support corrective actions based on data insights
- Participate in review meetings at block and district levels

- Graduate in any discipline from a recognized university
- Preference for candidates with background in Social Work, Rural Development, Sociology, Economics, or allied fields
- 1–2 years of experience in field-based development or CSR programmes preferred
- Motivated fresh graduates with strong digital aptitude and field orientation may also apply
Local Preference, Language & Technical Skills:
- Strong preference for candidates belonging to the local district or nearby areas
- Proficiency in local language(s) of the assigned district is essential (Assamese, Bengali, Bodo, Dimasa, etc.)
- Mandatory computer proficiency, including:
- a) MS Word, Excel, and basic data management
- b) Use of smartphones, tablets, and internet-based applications
- c) Experience in app-based data collection, MIS reporting, and digital documentation
- d) Ability to quickly adapt to new digital tools, reporting formats, and mobile applications
Other Requirements:
- Willingness to travel extensively within rural and remote areas
- Strong interpersonal skills, problem-solving ability, and team orientation
- Commitment to community-led development and programme accountability
Compensation & Benefits:
- Monthly Salary: ?19,000 (inclusive of travel allowance)
- Statutory Benefits: Provident Fund (PF) and ESIC as per applicable norms
