Position: Project Implementer – Enabling Access to Justice Phase II

Location: Karnal in Haryana and Begusarai in Bihar- 2 positions

Project Background for NGO Job in Begusarai Bihar for Project Implementer Apply By 18 February 2026

 

The programme seeks to address limited access to justice among women, children, minorities, Dalits, persons with disabilities, and other disadvantaged groups in Block Indri, District Karnal (Haryana) and Block S. Kamal, District Begusarai (Bihar). These communities continue to face barriers in accessing legal aid and institutional support despite the presence of statutory mechanisms such as the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) and Protection Officers.

The overall goal is to build a cadre of grassroots, socially committed young lawyers and strengthen existing Community Justice Workers (CJWs) from marginalized communities by equipping and mentoring them for meaningful engagement in public interest lawyering, thereby strengthening the rule of law and improving access to justice.

Job Responsibilities – Field Project Implementer

  • Mobilize community members, volunteers, and Community Justice Workers (CJWs) for trainings, meetings, and legal awareness programmes.
  • Ensure proper implementation by developing detailed plans in accordance with project timelines and organizational norms to achieve project objectives.
  • Organize and facilitate legal literacy sessions, village meetings, legal desks, and exposure visits.
  • Provide basic counselling, identify cases, and support referrals to DLSA, Protection Officers, police stations, and other authorities.
  • Support lawyers, CJWs and volunteers through regular handholding, follow-up, and field mentoring.
  • Network and coordinate with district and local stakeholders, including Panchayats, police, government departments, and partner organizations.
  • Collect field data, case details, and success stories;
  • Maintain records and submit reports to the Project Coordinator.
  • Track progress of referred cases and ensure timely follow-up with the concerned institutions and authorities.
  • Assist in organizing workshops, trainings, and stakeholder meetings at the district/block level.
  • Ensure community participation, inclusiveness, and smooth day-to-day implementation of all activities.

Required Qualification and Skills: for NGO Job in Begusarai Bihar for Project Implementer Apply By 18 February 2026

 

  1. Bachelors /Master’s degree in law and or Social Work(preferable)
  2. Good understanding of women’s rights and access to justice mechanisms in India
  3. Fluent in Hindi and English (preferable)
  4. Efficient time management skills, willingness to work with a tight deadline and ability to work in complex and diverse working environments.
  5. Good computer skills, including data analysis, word processing, and PowerPoint presentations.
  6. Own laptop is a must for reporting and documentation of project work.

Experience: 0-3 years of previous experience in community mobilization

Duration: 1 March 2026 – 31 January 2029 (contractual, renewable)

Remuneration: As per experience and organizational norms (negotiable)

Travel Requirements: Primarily within the project area; however, the candidate must be comfortable traveling to other locations as per project needs. For local travel within the project area, the candidate should have their own two-wheeler.
