Roles and Responsibilities

? Provide executive oversight and visionary leadership for all programmes, ensuring alignment with Rubaroo’s mission, values, and long-term strategic priorities.
? Lead the design, development, and scaling of innovative, sustainable programmes that address
systemic issues in gender, interfaith, and youth development.
? Collaborate on fundraising, grant writing, and relationship-building with high-level donors, funding agencies, and strategic partners to ensure programme sustainability.
? Represent Rubaroo in high-level forums, policy dialogues, and coalitions to advocate for systemic change, influence policy, and amplify the organization’s voice nationally and internationally.
? Ensure all programmes meet governance standards, legal regulations, and donor compliance requirements, maintaining transparency and accountability.
? Build and sustain strategic partnerships with CSOs, government bodies, and international organizations to strengthen collaboration and extend Rubaroo’s reach and impact.
? Oversee programme quality, ensuring deliverables reflect Rubaroo’s values, donor expectations, and strategic goals, leading robust MEL frameworks to assess and improve impact.
? Inspire and mentor senior leadership, fostering a collaborative, inclusive, and values-driven organizational culture that nurtures growth and professional development.
? Anticipate challenges, manage crises effectively, and develop proactive solutions that safeguard programme continuity and organizational reputation.
? Position Rubaroo as a thought leader by contributing to national and international discourse through op-eds, policy briefs, advocacy papers, and strategic communications.
Desired Skills, Experience, and Commitment

? Ability to develop and articulate long-term strategic plans and align multi-region programmes with organizational priorities.
? Proven ability to lead teams, inspire collaboration, and build a strong, values-driven organisational culture.
? Expertise in creating and scaling impactful programmes in gender, interfaith, and youth development.
? Skilled in influencing policy, representing organizations in high-level forums, and building strategic alliances.
? Strong track record in securing funding through donor relations, grant writing, and partnership building.
? Proficiency in designing and applying MEL frameworks to assess and enhance programme effectiveness.
? Deep understanding of donor requirements, legal regulations, and governance frameworks.
? Ability to anticipate risks, develop contingency plans, and manage high-pressure situations effectively.
? Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills for diverse audiences, including media, donors, and policymakers.
? Proficiency in using technology, project management tools, and data systems to improve programme efficiency and impact.
? Expert fluency in English suitable for presenting to donors, partners, media & policymakers, while having a working knowledge of Telugu and/or Hindi.
? Willing to travel within and outside Telangana.
? Open to learning, listening and building relationships that will add and enhance Rubaroo’s Shared Leadership structure.
Candidates with a Postgraduate Degree in social sciences, social work, gender studies, or equivalent educational qualifications and/or with minimum of 6-7 years of prior experience of working in the social sector on any of Rubaroo’s thematic issues will be given preference.
This role requires a minimum commitment of 3 years.
