  1. Job Title: District Coordinator
  2. Location: ANKITA Organisation, Medchal-Malkajgiri
  3. Job Summary:

The District Coordinator (DC) leads and manages ANKITA migrant worker facilitation, worker protection, and social security initiatives at the district level. The role ensures smooth implementation of programs by supervising Field Officers, coordinating with government departments (Labour Department, ALOs, DCL, DLSA, BOCW Board), engaging with industries, and ensuring accurate reporting of project

  1. A) Managing the Program at District:

? Select the blocks and Panchayats for intervention along with other team members.

? Build an understanding of the residential sites of migrant workers, construction sites, labour chowks, and finalising the centres for implementation.

? Support in recruitment of all staff – Field Officers, Jan Saathi Facilitator and Jan Saathis for the district.

? Responsible for ensuring training of the team on all aspects of the program and building the technical capacities and soft skills of all the staff in the district.

? Plan for the district for the entire MRC program including Worker Protection, Social Security,

? Financial Inclusion and Responsible Recruitment with the State coordinator.

? Ensuring that all the processes defined by the organisation are being followed at each level and provide oversight and support wherever required.

? Conduct regular field visits and hold team meetings to understand the challenges on the field.

? Ensure that the tech-platform (program app and portal) is being used in real time to ensure daily work, report generation and updation of MIS.

? Review the status of applications submitted and benefits received in social security weekly along with Jan Sathi Facilitator, do basic data analysis and identify gaps and address them accordingly with relevant team members and update the State Coordinator on the same.

? Conduct documentation of the work in the form of reports, case studies, photos, etc.

? Ensure that the district team is conducting their duties as per their job description and conduct regular monitoring meetings and visits.

? Build relationships between various teams of MRC – source and destination and non-MRC at district level.

  1. B) Government engagement at the District and Block level:

? Liaison with the Government departments and bodies at the district level to build visibility and credibility of the MRC program.

? Build relationships with officials from the blocks where MRC is in operation.

? Give updates from time to time to various Government officials about the work being done by the MRC team in the district and blocks.

? Leverage the strengths of NGOs/CBOs/other organisations working in the same district.

Education: Any graduate

Experience: 2-3 years
