Job Description for Program Manager Vacancy in NGO December 2024
- Program Planning and Development – Collaborate with senior management and stakeholders to develop program strategies and goals aligned with the organization’s mission and objectives.
- Conduct needs assessments, research, and analysis to identify program priorities, target beneficiaries, and potential partners.
- Design and develop program plans, including objectives, activities, timelines, and budgets, ensuring feasibility and alignment with donor requirements.
- Project Management – Oversee the day-to-day implementation of programs and projects, ensuring adherence to plans, timelines, and budgets.
- Coordinate activities across different teams and departments, assigning tasks, and monitoring progress to achieve program objectives.
- Manage resources effectively, including human resources, finances, and materials, to optimize program delivery and maximize impact.
- Capacity Building – Identify training needs and opportunities for staff, partners, and beneficiaries, designing and facilitating capacity-building activities as needed.
- Provide technical assistance, guidance, and mentoring to support the professional development and performance of program staff and partners.
- Promote a culture of learning and innovation within the organization, encouraging continuous improvement and adaptation based on evidence and best practices.
- Monitoring and Evaluation – Develop monitoring and evaluation frameworks to assess program performance, outcomes, and impact against established indicators and targets.
- Collect, analyse, and interpret data on program activities and outcomes, identifying strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement.
- Prepare regular progress reports for internal stakeholders, donors, and other relevant parties, highlighting achievements, challenges, and lessons learned.
- Partnership and Stakeholder Engagement – Cultivate and maintain relationships with donors, government agencies, community organizations, and other stakeholders to support program implementation and sustainability.
