Dr. Diana Slaughter Kotzin and Mr. Joseph G. Kotzin Fund Grant 2026 Applications are open now, this grant seeks to advance meaningful work that deepens our understanding of — and response to — suicide among African American children and youth. Through this program, APF supports early career psychologists who are committed to creating research, educational programs, or practice-based initiatives that illuminate risk and protective factors, elevate culturally responsive approaches, and ultimately help save young lives.
One grantee will receive up to $9,500 in funding to pursue a project that holds promise for real-world impact and long-term contribution to the field.
