Purpose (Application Now Open for Integration Grant 2025 Incoming Research Fellowship Program Armenia)
- Foster domestic and international collaboration;
- Increase the scientific and technical capacity of the respective hosting Organization;
- Involve researchers from the Diaspora and overseas;
- Engage young researchers and PhD students;
- Promote the integration of young scientists into the international research area;
- Improve the scientific environment;
- Create new, competitive, and prospective scientific subdivisions;
- Strengthen the impact of research on socioeconomic development;
- Improve competitiveness in science.
Eligibility Criteria (Application Now Open for Integration Grant 2025 Incoming Research Fellowship Program Armenia)
The project shall be developed and implemented by a group of 3-5 researchers consisting of a principal investigator from abroad and group members.
The PI of the Group shall be:
- born after January 1, 1975,
- have received a scientific degree after January 1, 2005, and
- neither have studied nor worked in the Republic of Armenia for a cumulative period of 12 months during the last four years by the deadline of the Call (except for the PIs of the projects implemented under the PostDoc-Armenia 2023 Program).
- Group members can hold any citizenship, but during the whole implementation, they should be either citizens or residents of the Republic of Armenia and reside in Armenia.
- Contracts on Project funding shall be signed within 10 days after the arrival of the beneficiary Principal Investigators to the Republic of Armenia, upon the announcement of the results of the Call.
- To integrate young researchers into the field of science, at least 2 group members shall be born after January 1, 1990. Undergraduate students who are in their third year or above are eligible.
- The group shall have a Foreign Partner or Collaborator who shall hold a scientific degree and have an h-index (Hirsch) of at least 15. During the whole period of the project implementation, the collaborator must spend a cumulative period of no less than 25 weeks at the hosting organization in RA, as well as host group members in their respective foreign scientific institutions for a cumulative period of no less than 25 days.
- Besides that, at least one of the publications published as an output of the project shall list the collaborator as a co-author.
- By the 24th month of the implementation of the project, a new scientific subdivision shall be established under the organization’s umbrella with the involvement of PI and group members. The total workload of the employees involved in the Project shall comprise no less than 120 hours per week (3 Full-time Equivalent, FTE).
Funding Information (Application Now Open for Integration Grant 2025 Incoming Research Fellowship Program Armenia)
The maximum amount of funding for the whole duration of the Project for 5-, 4-, and 3-member Groups, respectively, is as follows:
- AMD 148,000,000 (one hundred and forty-eight million),
- AMD 125,000,000 (one hundred and twenty-five million), and
- AMD 102,000,000 (one hundred and two million).
In the case of the PI’s relocation to the Republic of Armenia with family member(s) – the maximum amount of funding for 5-, 4-, and 3-member Groups, respectively, shall be:
- AMD 157,000,000 (one hundred and fifty-seven million),
- AMD 134,000,000 (one hundred and thirty-four million), and
- AMD 111,000,000 (one hundred and eleven million).
At the same time:
the maximum monthly salary for the PI shall be AMD 600,000 (six hundred thousand) gross, and in the case of their relocation to the Republic of Armenia with family member(s) – AMD 750,000 (seven hundred fifty thousand) gross; the average monthly salary of the Group Members shall be under AMD 300,000 (three hundred thousand) gross, and the minimum monthly salary – AMD 150,000 (one hundred and fifty thousand) gross.
